I don't mean 2 be a kill joy but the chocolate set i just got say's pleasant company also on all the cups,plates,etc.mattel just did'nt bother to take the time to change the stickers and insriptions from PC to AG when they bought out PC.
My Chocolate set came today...and as always when I get a new item, I look at the bottom sticker/tag, and the bottom of the cups and plates on the chocolate set says:
Made it Tawain, especially for Pleasant Company!!!

Just to make you feel better, I got PC party treats and a PC chocolate set, and I ordered both in the last three weeks. The chocolate set plates have "Pleasant Company" imprinted on them.
I think that stuff's been in the back of a warehouse forever.
My newest doll says Pleasant Company (Olivia), but my Mattel Molly says American Girl on the back of her head.
I like checking to see what I have when it arrives! I think it's interesting. I know during the whole Code frenzy a LOT of people were getting stuff that was PC and not AG - current items that were in the current catalogs at the time. I think periodically they clean out stuff in the back of the warehouse.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I found it interesting that PC is printed on the plate bottoms.

My definitely post-Mattel chocolate set also says "Pleasant Company." The china pieces say Made in Taiwan, but the chocolate pot itself says Made in India. Hmmm (Meg's guide has a good description of the differences between pre- and post-Mattel)

Total retraction here - with complete apologies, because I would have BET MY LIFE Molly had AG on her head - but she doesn't; she says PC. Crow eaten - with a lovely cranberry sauce, I might add (LOL) - and hopefully no hard feelings.
I've had it in my head she was the only one that said AG, but I guess I'm dreaming something up here. Sorry, ya'll - my fault!!
My Molly Aviator set that I coded in March also came in the old white box w/ burgundy band. I keep wondering if they're making more of Addy's Striped Dress and Molly's Aviator set since it seems like they should be gone by now, but things like that make me think they really did just make a ton of them . . .

I've gotten plenty of PM things through shipping, some at AGPC. My Samantha Winter Party Dress, bought as $12 AGPC special, came in a white box with burgundy band and everything was tagged PC.
I think there was such a stockpile of some things, that they haven't been produced since before Mattel purchased PC. That and the stickers that said PC were used up then replaced with AG.
If something like a plate is imprinted PC, I (personally) believe it to be PM. But the stickers are more iffy. I always check everything, too. Sometimes one or two items in the box will be PC and the rest Post-Mattel.
